A Beginner level workshop in Food Videography - Curious by Chew N Chug - 6th of September, 2020

This workshop is meant for you, if you are/have:

1.   Interested in learning about food videography.

2.   A restauranteur or a chef looking to create food content.

3.   A beginner looking at becoming a food videographer and are looking to earn money by creating content for restaurants and brands.

4.   A person looking to start their own Youtube channel or any other social media page for food. It can be recipe, exploration or travel based.

This workshop will consist of:

1.   Technical approach to shooting food videos including shooting with DSLRs, Mobile Phones, Introduction to lighting, framing, transitions, shot selection, editing, direction, angles, audio and more.

2.   The creative side to food video content including story-telling, effects to enhance editing, shooting style, concept creation and more.

3.   4 - Two Hour sessions of the workshop covering story telling, videography, editing and colour correction, Costing, Sales and Q&A session.

4.   Editing using Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2020 and Inshot and Adobe Rush for mobile phone editing.

5.   The equipment details, contact list for hiring, understanding production requirements, scheduling, planning and checklist for a shoot.

6.   Introduction to selling your services, understanding customer requirements, delivering final video and the nitty gritties involved.

7.   2 - Fifteen minute One to One sessions with the trainer to understand your requirements, having personalized homework set, giving feedback wrt your work and setting and helping to achieve your goals. These are exclusive of the 4 sessions of the workshop. Further more, the trainer will be available via email for queries for a week after the workshop is done.

8.   This workshop is immersive. It is a 50% practical oriented workshop. There will be relevant homework given for you to complete by utilizing the concepts thought during the workshop.

Minimum Equipment Requirements:

1.   Camera - Any DSLR camera or Mobile Phone.( Both Mobile phone and DSLR videography will be taught during the workshop.)

2.   An editing software - Either on the Mobile phone or a desktop software. (Adobe Premiere Pro CC is going to be used to help teach the concepts during the Editing session on the desktop and Inshot and Adobe Rush will be used for editing on a mobile phone .)

Optional Equipment:

1.   Lights

2.   Mics

3.   Props like backgrounds, utensils, etc.

4.   Gimbal

5.   Tripod

6.   Sliders and other shooting accessories.

4.   You will learn a few tips and tricks of the trade.

5.   You will also get an understanding of how to market your services / products.

6.   Access to a few transitions, LUTs and other goodies that help make your edit look better.
